About this role:
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Generative AI solutions for Firefox, working closely with product management, full-stack engineering, and design teams.
- Create infrastructure for training and inference of Large Language Models (LLMs) and small language and vision models for web and mobile Firefox experiences.
- Implement robust validation and testing procedures to ensure model generalizability and reliability.
- Continuously monitor and optimize deployed models for performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a Machine Learning engineer with expertise in building tooling and services for machine learning applications in production.
- Familiarity with designing and building machine learning tooling and infrastructure for training, deploying, inference, and validation of models.
- Experience with distributed systems and platforms for AI integrations across various applications, including LLM APIs, cloud-based, and open-source tooling.
- Proven ability to lead architecture designs to execution independently and drive team velocity in AI development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication of complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration experience with product managers, project managers, and other non-engineering teams.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills within a distributed team environment.
