What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrate end-to-end feature development—from requirement clarification and architectural design to full-stack implementation and production deployment
• Execute precise root cause analysis to resolve complex issues, implementing comprehensive solutions that address core problems rather than surface symptoms
• Elevate engineering standards through rigorous code reviews, ensuring technical excellence while preventing technical debt accumulation

• Creating ornamental interfaces or over-engineered systems disconnected from user value
• Implementing specifications without challenging assumptions or understanding core user needs
• Navigating bureaucratic processes or spending time in non-productive meetings
• Focusing solely on feature completion without measurable problem resolution

Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Harnessing AI technologies to develop high-impact educational software that delivers exceptional user value while maintaining rapid deployment cycles and long-term code sustainability

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of demonstrable production experience developing full-stack web applications
• Proven track record of ownership—successfully leading modules, features, or teams with measurable outcomes
• Exceptional self-sufficiency: ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome obstacles independently, and maintain productivity without direct supervision
• Practical experience integrating generative AI into development workflows and solutions

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
