Fireflies.ai is looking for a Deep Learning Engineer who is not only highly technical but also active in shaping the future of LLM applications. We’re building ambitious retrieval-augmented AI systems, and we need minds that thrive at the frontier.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience working with large language models (fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment)
• Hands-on with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX
• Contributions to open-source LLM projects or visible thought leadership in the deep learning community
• Experience building or optimising vector stores and LLM pipelines

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Turbopuffer or other modern vector DBs
• Experience with advanced RAG systems like GraphRAG or LightRAG
• Exposure to multi-context prompting (MCP) or similar research-level architectures

Qualities we look for:

• You have the raw intellectual horsepower and the ability to learn quickly
• You contribute to open source (share your GitHub)
• You have experience working on apps that have supported 10,000+ concurrent users
• You can design and build scalable infrastructure
• You have experience with real-time apps that use something like OT or CRDT (ref)
• You understand sound architecture principles and can build end-to-end
• Meaningful time spent as a Senior engineer or higher
• Passion for productivity tools and supporting power users
