Senior Frontend Engineer – AI-Driven

Description:

  • Leverage agentic-based AI tools (Cursor, Augment Code, Claude Code) to accelerate coding, refactoring, and problem-solving.
  • Lead initiatives to decompose monolithic frontends into micro-frontend architectures; design scalable, resilient, and independently deployable UI services.
  • Embrace lightweight, outcome-focused engineering practices and implement CI/CD for rapid, confident releases.
  • Collaborate closely with peers through pair programming and knowledge sharing; make pragmatic technical decisions that balance innovation with stability.
  • Help transform monolithic systems into event-driven architectures while working in small, high-performing teams (3-4 people).
  • Build features for Trengo’s AI-powered customer engagement platform across multiple channels and optimize developer workflows.

Requirements:

  • Strong frontend development expertise with deep experience in Vue3, Pinia, Vite, and modern FE tooling.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing micro-frontend architectures.
  • Advanced prompting techniques needed both in coding and in advancing AI-driven development practices.
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for AI-augmented development tools (Cursor, Augment Code, Claude Code, or similar).
  • A pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with simple, maintainable solutions.
  • 5+ years of professional software development with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Passion for transforming legacy architectures and embracing emerging technologies.
  • Results-oriented mindset focused on outcomes rather than processes.
  • Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
  • This is a full time position in the Netherlands; ability/right to work in the Netherlands or willingness to relocate. Indicate visa sponsorship needs.
