Position: Senior Backend Engineer

Location of the role: Germany / Spain / Romania (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our AI Agents team. This is a high-impact role aimed at driving the technical evolution of our platform. Deep expertise in Python, Domain-Driven Design, and modern DevOps practices is essential. You will have the chance to work with technologies such as FastApi, OpenFGA, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes,.. to create new features, paying special attention to quality.

In your role, you will make an impact by…

Designing, developing, and operating scalable backend services using Python 3 and FastAPI

Contributing to architecture decisions and shape the long-term technical vision of the AI Agents platform

Collaborating closely with Product Management and Frontend engineers to deliver impactful features

Mentoring and supporting other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing

Ensuring code quality through test automation and CI/CD pipelines

Deploying and scaling services using Kubernetes and Docker

You are a perfect fit, if you have…

Minimum 10 years of overall software development experience, with at least 7 years focused on backend development in Python

Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design and Clean Architecture

Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into production systems

Solid DevOps experience, especially with Kubernetes and Docker

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI

General experience with generative AI and large language models (LLMs)

Proficiency in/Open to working with other programming languages (e.g. Go), especially in contexts like maintaining existing services or optimizing performance-critical components

An agile mindset to deliver great products with an iterative approach

Fluency in German and English

You are ideally someone who has…

Experience making architectural choices with detailed trade-off analysis

A deep focus on automation for testing and deployment

Background in ingesting and processing knowledge from APIs, PDFs, websites, etc.

Strong alignment with business goals, with definition and measurement of relevant KPIs

Previous experience with FastAPI
