(Senior) AI Engineer (Remote - Europe)

This role offers the opportunity to design and build next-generation AI systems that will shape the experience of millions of frontline employees. You will work on production-ready AI features, leveraging large language models, embeddings, and vector search technologies to enhance core SaaS workflows. The position provides both technical depth and product impact, allowing you to architect scalable, reliable AI services while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams. You will help define AI best practices and standards, contributing to long-term technical strategy and mentorship. The role is remote-first with occasional team events, offering flexibility and exposure to a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Accountabilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain AI-powered production services with a focus on robustness, scalability, and performance.
• Integrate AI features seamlessly into existing user-facing workflows and internal systems.
• Work hands-on with modern AI stacks, including vector databases, orchestration tools, and cloud AI platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and engineering) to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and observability of AI systems in production.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor colleagues, and define best practices for AI engineering across the organization.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade services.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and scaling LLM-powered systems.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices (testing, CI/CD, version control).
• Applied AI/ML experience with embeddings, vector databases, and LLM integration.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with AI frameworks such as Pydantic AI, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and pgvector.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, agentic AI, or fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience with cloud AI providers, particularly Azure OpenAI.
