Machine Learning Engineer (Remote Οption)

Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer at OSeven you will join a scrum team of ML Engineers and Data Scientists. You will participate in the design, implementation and testing of advanced Machine Learning and Data Mining based products for discovering a wide range of driving behavior patterns primarily from smartphone sensor data.

You will also develop state of the art custom-made solutions for problems such as time series analysis, detecting harsh events, detecting transportation mode & driver / passenger modes and performing advanced geospatial analysis for a large number of recorded trips, as well as advanced computer vision algorithms.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ML models, as well as integrating them into scalable and high-performance C++ applications using software engineering best practices.

Requirements

Must have skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field. Master’s degree or Ph.

D. in a Data Science related area preferred.

• 2+ years of professional experience in related fields.
• Proven knowledge of Python programming and ML toolbox (scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
• Good knowledge of C++, including an understanding of software design patterns and the language’s more sophisticated features for integration at the edge.
• Solid knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, statistical modeling methods, feature selection and performance evaluation schemes for Machine Learning models.
• Familiar with version control systems (Git). .
• Experienced in working according to agile frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have :

• Experience working with cloud data processing technologies (e.g Spark)
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
• Experience building end-to-end data systems.
• Experience with computer vision (OCR, Object detection, etc.)
