Machine Learning Engineer - Hybrid Remote

HCL Software is looking for a creative and driven Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist to join our innovation hub in Rome. You’ll be at the center of our mission to democratize AI by building a groundbreaking no-code platform for Agentic AI. it’s a chance to build the tools that empower others to create powerful AI agents without writing a single line of code. Build an Agentic AI Platform: Take a leading role in designing and developing our innovative no-code platform, enabling users to build, test, and deploy custom AI agents. Develop & Fine-Tune Advanced Models: Design, train, and optimize a range of machine learning models, with a strong focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and other Generative AI techniques. Engineer Data Pipelines: Own the data lifecycle from start to finish—build robust pipelines for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, and perform expert feature engineering. Research new techniques from papers and open-source projects and apply them to solve real-world challenges. Collaborate for Impact: Partner closely with software engineers, product managers, and other data scientists to seamlessly integrate your ML models into HCL’s core products.

A track record of success in a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist role, with demonstrable projects. Expert-level Python skills are a must. Core Data Science Skills: Strong abilities in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and rigorous model evaluation. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Math. Experience with MLOps: deploying and managing models in production using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with other programming languages like Java.
