Machine Learning Engineer

ProPursuit is currently looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer for leading AI mobile scanning client of ours in Austria.

This role requires the applicant to be based in Austria, however will allow full remote work.

Your role:

• Work on core computer vision and neural network components for our world-class mobile OCR products and enable them to run close to real time on mobile devices.
• Collaborate with our Product team to understand the business needs of the prospects and customers, to identify suitable solutions addressing these needs and to define and drive the product vision together as a team
• Work closely with the Engineering team bringing together different technology backgrounds such as mobile engineers, cloud engineers, architects and domain specialists.
• Take ownership in organizing, managing, generating and preparing the data for the training and evaluation of our novel machine learning approaches.
• Contribute to key development and architectural decisions through applying state-of-the-art design patterns and development methodologies.
• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, tools and methodologies to take our scanners to the next level.

Your profile:

• 3+ years of industry experience in computer vision and machine learning.
• Experience with modern neural network architectures and the deployment and operation of machine learning systems (MLOps).
• Profound knowledge in Computer Vision.
• Hands on experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow, Numpy.
• Programming experience in Lua would be a plus
• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• Proactive attitude to push the boundaries and to go beyond your comfort zone.
• Strong sense of personal accountability and goal-orientation.
• Fluent in English both spoken and in written language.
