Lead Product Software Engineer - AI/UI Product Engineering(8+ years only with AI and UI exp)

Basic Function A Development Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of software projects by combining technical expertise with leadership skills to guide and support their team throughout the development lifecycle. They must simultaneously be a developer by staying intimately involved in the technical work of their team, and a leader, helping to guide their team to realize their potential and further the organization’s goals. A lead developer can be thought of as a bridge between an engineering team and management. They are a senior member of the team who can give technical guidance as well as mentor developers on the team. As a manager, a lead developer needs to demonstrate leadership. They encourage their developers to operate at their top potential and work together as a true team. Lead developers may write code themselves, but much of their time will be used in conducting code reviews of components being created by other developers. They ensure and manage day-to-day progress as their team tackles their assigned tasks. They need to have a strong understanding of the overall business priorities for their team and need to be able to advocate for what their team needs to do their job while also making sure their team delivers on what company management expects. As a T4-Lead UI/AI Product Engineer, you will lead the development and maintenance of UI applications that consume agentic AI workflows using TypeScript, NodeJS and React.js. You will be responsible for crafting effective prompts to guide generative AI models and creating autonomous AI agents in Python. Your role will involve implementing security best practices, optimizing UI performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. You will also lead Agile development processes, peer code reviews, estimation, and sprint planning. . Essential Duties and responsibilities Develop and maintain UI applications that act as consumer of agentic ai workflows using Typescript, React.js and NodeJS Prompt engineering skills; crafting effective inputs (prompts) to guide generative AI models (like ChatGPT) to produce desired outputs. Experience with creating agentic AI in Python. This involves creating autonomous AI agents that can perceive their environment, make decisions, and take actions to achieve specific goals also using large language models (LLMs) and / or a willingness to learn this. Implement security best practices for web applications, including authentication and authorization mechanisms Experience with observability preferably creating insights into agentic workflow’s. Optimize UI performance, build responsive applications and ensure cross-browser compatibility Participate in Agile development, peer code reviews, estimation and sprint planning. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field. Tasks and responsibilities: Develop and maintain UI applications that act as consumer of agentic ai workflows using typescript, React.js and NodeJS Implement security best practices for web applications, including authentication and authorization mechanisms Work with Kibana for log analysis and monitoring Optimize UI performance, build responsive applications and ensure cross-browser compatibility Participate in Agile development, peer code reviews, estimation and sprint planning Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the software industry with 3+ years of experience as technical team lead Experience in working in agile teams using technologies like Python, Node.JS, React.Js, typescript and different kind of datastores. Strong UI expertise, a deep understanding of frontend frameworks, and experience working with modern cloud-based applications Experience with creating agentic AI in Python. This involves creating autonomous AI agents that can perceive their environment, make decisions, and take actions to achieve specific goals also using large language models (LLMs). Key Skills: Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript Backend & API Integration: Node.js creation of RESTful APIs (and orchestration) Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Jira, Git, Rush, (we use infra as code but run containers for local development) Experience with creating agents in python with frameworks like langchain and langraph. Security & Logging: Security Best Practices, ELK, Kibana Version Control & Build Tools: GitHub/BitBucket Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines Mandatory Skills: Strong experience in Typescript and NodeJS Full stack development with Python and Agentic AI workflows Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Knowledge of Security best practices (e.g., authentication, authorization, secure coding) Strong experience in Unit Testing (vitest, Cypress) and Logging frameworks Competencies/Soft skills: Critical thinkers who like engineering challenges. Proficiency in English. Both verbal and written. Working in an international environment with different cultures. Proactive and not afraid to reach out to other teams for help and suggestions. Being able to show and present both problems and great solutions. Supplemental skills Design for accessibility.
