Lead CV/ML Engineer (EU - remote)

Type of contract: B2B directly with Softeq (fully remote)

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and adapt state‑of‑the‑art ML, computer‑vision, and generative‑AI algorithms to meet product objectives.
• Research, design, and implement new algorithms.
• Architect and implement full‑stack ML pipelines—from data acquisition to cloud‑ or edge‑based model deployment—for image, video, and multimodal workloads.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts, project scope, and solution benefits to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and business partners.
• Understand and be able to gather customer requirements, translate their needs into actionable research or engineering tasks, and clearly articulate progress, challenges, and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prototype proof-of-concept (POC) solutions for specific computer vision and machine learning problems to validate ideas.
• Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Preparation of comprehensive and detailed results documentation.
• Lead projects from prototype to production. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Actively participate in the team’s software development processes.

Requirements:

• PhD + 2 years hands on experience in Computer Vision

OR

Master’s degree + 4 years hands on experience in Computer Vision

• Significant hands-on experience delivering ML solutions, including production CV projects.
• Strong ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical tasks, communicate complex solutions in clear terms, and foster productive collaboration with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting academic papers, incorporating cutting-edge research findings into practical solutions.
• Expertise in processing and analyzing image and video data.
• Experience in developing and fine-tuning models for segmentation, pose estimation, and object detection.
• Hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge generative‑AI models (e.g., text‑to‑image/video diffusion, multimodal LLMs) and skill in prompt engineering.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Excellent object-oriented programming skills
• Familiarity with Vision Transformers for tasks such as action recognition and object tracking, with the ability to write high-performance, production-quality code in Python. Cloud AWS
• Excellent English skills (C1)
