As the Lead AI Solutions Engineer (Internal Engineering) at KnowBe4, your daily responsibilities will include leading the development and application of generative AI technologies across various departments including Sales, Product Support, Legal, Business Operations, and other key areas critical to our business success. You will oversee a team of developers tasked with designing and implementing applications that leverage Amazon Bedrock, prompt engineering, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technologies. This role demands proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and cloud technologies to craft user-friendly interfaces and robust backend services. Your leadership will be essential in harnessing advanced AI capabilities to address the unique challenges and enhance the efficiency of our internal functions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers focused on generative AI projects, fostering innovation and best practices
• Drive the vision and direction for AI projects, making key decisions on technology stack and architectural design
• Spearhead prompt engineering and RAG implementation using Amazon Bedrock to create powerful, context-aware AI applications
• Develop and optimize user interfaces using JavaScript, ensuring intuitive and responsive design
• Utilize Streamlit for rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize AI-driven solutions for internal business needs
• Oversee the integration of AI capabilities with existing business systems and applications
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability across all AI projects
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and cloud technologies, continuously evolving our technical approach - Contribute to the company’s AI strategy, providing thought leadership and innovative ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML projects
• Proven experience leading development teams and driving technical vision
• Expert knowledge of generative AI technologies and frameworks.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and RAG techniques. - Strong experience with Amazon Web Services, particularly Amazon Bedrock.
• Advanced skills in JavaScript and Python programming languages.
• Expertise in developing user interfaces and experience with Streamlit.
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and natural language processing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Outstanding communication skills, able to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 - $140,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant’s skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
