Lead Ai Engineer - Spain And Czechia Remote

Our TeamAI Engineering is a newly formed team at Vista dedicated to enabling and adopting Generative AI capabilities, as well as building foundational primitives to boost productivity across the business. Engineers on this team will lead innovation in GenAI by developing scalable capabilities, including MCP capabilities, LLM infrastructure, observability, and agentic tooling. What You Will Do

• Work in a newly formed team of AI Engineers to drive strategic design, adoption, and implementation of large-scale GenAI initiatives.
• Build and scale reusable platform components such as AI Gateways, Python and TypeScript SDKs, MCP capabilities, RAG pipelines, LLM frameworks, vector databases, and other primitives to enable teams to develop GenAI applications at scale with excellent tooling.
• Support engineering-wide standards for GenAI and collaborate with existing engineering teams to promote adoption.
• Develop and deploy reusable automation workflows company-wide to transform GenAI adoption across all business functions. Qualifications

• Proven expertise in developing GenAI applications using frameworks like LlamaIndex or Langraph, leveraging workflows such as RAG, Multi-Agent, or similar architectures.
• A strong understanding of the advantages and limitations of different LLM models and providers to guide optimal integration.
• 5+ years of experience building web-based applications in Python at scale in production.
• Knowledge of applying GenAI primitives like vector databases, memory, semantic search, hybrid search, agentic workflows, MCP, and A2A.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical problems and projects.
• Experience in building, scaling, and deploying applications in AWS using ECS, Fargate, and EKS, ideally with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering leaders. Nice to Have
• Experience with production-scale TypeScript development.
• Experience integrating AWS Bedrock tools into GenAI applications, such as Bedrock, Guardrails, Evaluations, and Agents.
• Ability to develop organization-wide GenAI evaluation frameworks to assess application efficacy.
• Experience implementing LLM observability tools.
• Experience building and integrating MCP servers with AI applications, especially concerning AuthZ and AuthN requirements. Why You’ll Love Working Here
