Lead AI Engineer - Spain and Czechia Remote

AI Engineering is a new team being formed at Vista to drive enablement and adoption of Generative AI capabilities and build foundational primitives to unlock productivity across the business. Engineers will lead innovation in GenAI by developing capabilities at scale, including MCP capabilities, LLM infrastructure, observability, and agentic tooling. What You Will Do

• Work in a newly formed team of AI Engineers to drive strategic design, adoption, and implementation of large-scale GenAI initiatives.
• Build and scale reusable platform components such as AI Gateways, SDKs in Python and TypeScript, MCP capabilities, RAG pipelines, LLM frameworks, vector databases, and other primitives to enable teams to develop GenAI applications at scale with robust tooling.
• Support engineering standards for GenAI and collaborate with existing teams to promote adoption.
• Develop and deploy reusable automation workflows company-wide to transform GenAI adoption across all business functions. Your Qualifications

• Proven experience developing GenAI applications using frameworks like LlamaIndex or Langraph, leveraging workflows such as RAG or Multi-Agent architectures.
• Strong understanding of the advantages and limitations of various LLM models and providers for optimal application integration.
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale web applications in Python.
• Knowledge of applying GenAI primitives like vector databases, memory, semantic and hybrid search, agentic workflows, MCP, A2A to applications.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical projects.
• Experience deploying applications in AWS using ECS, Fargate, EKS, preferably with Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering leaders. Nice to Have
• Production experience in Typescript at scale.
• Experience integrating AWS Bedrock tools into GenAI applications, including Bedrock, Guardrails, Evaluations, and Agents.
• Ability to develop and scale organization-wide GenAI evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with LLM observability tools.
