Functional AI Lead / AI Solution Architect | Foundational AI Team | SaaS FinTech | LLMs, Multi-Model, RAG, Cloud Native | 90% Remote | High base + Equity | Vienna or Antwerp

This is a fast-moving SaaS Fintech where AI is not just a side experiment — it’s core to what they deliver. We’re building production-ready AI features that directly improve how financial institutions handle complex workflows, helping make the homebuying journey smoother for millions of people. Our AI stack is already live with paying customers, but we’re still in a very early stage meaning your impact will be significant from day one

We’re now looking for an AI Solution Architect / Functional AI Lead to become one of the first dedicated hires in our foundational AI team. You’ll play a key role in shaping the AI practices, architecture, tooling, and direction of our AI, working side-by-side with backend engineers, product teams, and end users.

What you’ll be working on as AI Solution Architect / Functional AI Lead :

• Scope and build working AI prototypes (LLMs, RAG, automation, etc.)
• Engage directly with clients, run workshops, gather requirements, and refine solutions
• Define and manage AI use cases in the core SaaS platform
• Work closely with product & engineering to turn prototypes into production features
• Own delivery timelines and communicate progress clearly

What we’re looking for:

• 3–4 years of experience in AI engineering, with hands-on deployment of LLM-based features in production
• Proficiency in cloud AI platforms — ideally Vertex AI, but AWS Bedrock or Azure AI Studio also welcome
• Experience with RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and orchestration tools like LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Comfort with production environments — including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools
• Familiarity with AI safety, GDPR, and working in regulated environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
• Proactive, hands-on mindset — you like to ship fast and iterate

Bonus experience:

• Background in fintech, financial services, or mortgage technology
• Exposure to ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or academic research
• Experience in ISO27001-certified environments or similar regulatory frameworks

Location & Setup:

• Based in or around Vienna or Antwerp
• Hybrid setup: ideally in the office 1x per week (1x every two weeks is also fine)
• 90% remote flexibility — work from where you’re most productive
