Full Remote Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin | Remote:100% | Fulltime: 32h/W

Your Team

The Tech team consists of around 8 individuals who work remotely or at the office in Berlin city center. Besides the development team, Xayns' technical lead and an external consultant team handle various tasks related to providing Xayn’s development team with the necessary technical environment, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Xayn’s AI applications.

Your Tasks

• Having a holistic perspective on Xayn’s infrastructure (architecture, operation, and costs)
• Working on operational as well as strategic levels
• Continuing the path of infrastructure automation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Setting up and maintaining alerting and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus) and Bash scripting
• Setting up and maintaining applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Collaborating with development teams to automate and streamline deployment and operations.
• Supporting various teams with Docker and Docker Compose knowledge.
• Maintaining and developing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with GitLab.
• Close collaboration with the AI team on technical implementation.

Growth Options

• E.g., taking ownership of Xayn’s infrastructure or specializing as an AI Ops Engineer.

Requirements

• Residence & Working Permission: Full time availability and eligibility to work in Germany or UK
• Education: Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Linux: Expertise with Linux operating systems and Bash
• Networks: Knowledge in setting up and configuring networks (DNS, OSI)
• Cloud Architecture: Proven track record in design, development, testing and operation of cloud-based architectures (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or OTC)
• Monitoring: Ability to set up and maintain Monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana or AWS Cloud Insights) as well as aggregating the right data, data visualization and derive actions
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong will toautomate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure resources (e.g. with Terraform, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation)
• Containerization: Expertise in Containerization (e.g. Docker) of cloud-based application as well as Orchestration (e.g. Docker Compose
• Programming/ Scripting: e.g. Python or JavaScript
• Work mode: Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as flexibility to cope with changing priorities
• Language: Good written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus Mindset: humble but hungry
