At Data Panda turn messy spreadsheets into clean dashboards, manual reporting into automated flows, and vague business questions into clear answers.

We’re building a freelance talent pool – a group of curious, creative people we can call on for upcoming projects. Some gigs are short and sweet, others stretch longer. Sometimes you’ll be diving deep into data modelling, sometimes you’ll be designing dashboards a board can finally understand, and sometimes you’ll be setting up automations that save whole teams hours every week.

What we’re looking for

We’re not hunting for checkbox coders. We’re looking for freelancers who:

• know their tools,
• enjoy working with people,
• and can take a business problem and turn it into a working solution.

Skills that make us excited

• BI & Analytics: Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL (the usual suspects)
• Data modeling & analysis: pulling, shaping, and structuring messy data into something usable
• Design eye: because “functional but ugly” dashboards don’t fly with us
• Storytelling: turning figures into insights people actually understand
• Process Automation & AI (bonus points if you’ve played with):
• Power Automate or other workflow tools
• AI in daily work (e.g. Copilot, GenAI prompts, automating boring steps)
• Mapping out processes with process mining
• Finding and implementing realistic AI use cases inside a business
• Change management awareness: being able to explain new tools, motivate people, and help them adopt new ways of working

👉 Important: You don’t need to tick every single box. The more, the better – but what matters most is curiosity, eagerness to learn, and trying new things.

Traits that make you a great fit

• At least 3 years of BI/data experience (you’ve built reports, dashboards, or automations end-to-end).
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders (you can ask good questions and translate the answers into requirements).
• You care about clarity and design, you build things people can actually use.
• You’re pragmatic and not afraid to say “let’s do it this simpler way.”
• You share your knowledge freely, because we want clients to become better, not dependent.
• You’re a good communicator: able to explain complex stuff in simple words, and happy to run a workshop or training when needed.

At Data Panda we believe work shouldn’t feel like “work.” To us, “work” is pouring hours into a project that nobody uses, or delivering a dashboard that just collects digital dust. That’s not why we’re here.

When you put effort into something a client actually uses (a workflow that saves them hours, a dashboard that changes how they decide, an AI tool that takes work off their plate) it doesn’t feel like work anymore. It feels more like play.

That’s why we’re picky with our projects (and our clients). We don’t take on gigs just to send invoices. We choose projects where there’s a real fit with our culture and expertise, where your work matters.

And yes, we like to have fun while doing it. Data shouldn’t be boring.

Location

We love freelancers in Belgium, since our clients often want face-to-face workshops or training. But if you’re elsewhere and experienced in remote collaboration, we’d still like to hear from you.

How it works

When a new project comes up, we share the specs with our pool. Depending on your skills and availability, you might:

• Explore a business problem with a client and define the right KPIs together
• Design and build dashboards that give leaders clarity at a glance
• Set up automations that eliminate repetitive reporting work
• Run a workshop to help a team adopt new tools and ways of working
• Experiment with AI use cases, from copilots to smarter workflows
• Map and improve processes with process mining or other tools

Each project is different, but the common thread is this: you’ll work closely with clients, uncover real needs, and deliver solutions they can actually use.
