Founding Engineer, AI

About the Role

As a Founding AI Engineer at Cenna, you will spearhead the development of our AI-driven agentic services platform. You will design and implement cutting-edge AI models and systems, shaping the core intelligence that powers our products and delivers transformative user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-modal compound agentic systems
• Develop and deploy AI/ML models to drive Cenna’s agentic capabilities
• Finetune SLMs/ VLMs for performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineers to build robust data pipelines for training and inference
• Work with product teams to integrate AI solutions into the platform
• Stay ahead of AI research trends to incorporate state-of-the-art techniques
• Mentor team members on AI best practices and methodologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development
• Expertise in Python and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and data science
• Experience with data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI deployment
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Haves

• Deep understanding of agentic AI systems, generative AI models & MCPs
• Familiarity with MLOps/AIOps platforms
• Contributions to AI-related open-source projects
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced innovation environment
