Job Summary:
The Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship will feature a special expert panel, “Breaking Into AI: Career Guidance and Industry Insights from AI Experts,” designed to inspire and guide high school students as they explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence and STEM. We are seeking diverse panelists who can share their professional journeys, provide insights into the AI industry, and offer practical guidance for students considering future pathways in STEM and AI.
Panelists will engage with students in a live, virtual session, contributing authentic stories and actionable advice about education, careers, and the evolving role of AI across industries. Ideal candidates will bring both subject matter expertise and the ability to connect with a high school audience, ensuring the conversation is both aspirational and accessible.
This is a part-time, short-term engagement; panelists will participate in one 60–75 minute session and collaborate briefly with the Correlation One team in advance to align on themes and logistics.
Program Specific Information:
The Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship is America’s first AI competition designed to identify and develop the nation’s next generation of artificial intelligence leaders. Open to all U.S. high school students ages 14-18, this groundbreaking competition combines rigorous technical assessment with real-world problem solving, mentorship from industry leaders, and life-changing opportunities.
The Apex America Initiative’s High School AI Championship will include two (2) expert-led AI learning labs where high school students are introduced to foundational AI concepts, tools, and use-cases, as well as coached on specific AI tools and strategies for succeeding in our championship. These learning labs are central to delivering value to participants and ensuring the program’s credibility as a top AI/STEM learning experience for high school students.
We are currently looking to hire three (3) Expert Panelists to participate in the following discussion:
EXPERT PANEL
Panel Topic: Breaking Into AI: Career Guidance and Industry Insights from AI Experts
Date & Time (tentative): Monday, November 17; 7:30 – 8:45 pm ET
Purpose: This panel will introduce students to the diverse career pathways in artificial intelligence and adjacent STEM fields, highlighting how skills in AI, data, and algorithmic thinking can translate into real-world opportunities. Through personal stories and professional insights, panelists will demystify the AI industry, discuss the wide range of roles available, and emphasize the accessibility of these fields to learners from all backgrounds.
