The Subject Matter Expert in Data & AI plays a key role in driving strategy, innovation, and technical excellence in data and artificial intelligence initiatives. This role blends technical leadership, strategic consulting, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the adoption of best practices in data engineering, data science, machine learning, and data governance. You will serve as the technical and strategic reference point for designing, implementing, and optimizing data-driven solutions, working closely with clients and internal teams to generate tangible and sustainable business value.

What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities)

Provide strategic and technical support in executing the Data & AI operational plan in collaboration with the CTO and Data Leadership. Design and maintain standards, best practices, and methodologies for data and AI solutions. Define and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the quality and impact of data initiatives. Lead and participate in the full lifecycle of AI and data projects, from design to production deployment. Coordinate and deliver training and mentoring sessions in data engineering, ML/AI, MLOps, and related tools. Collaborate on designing scalable architectures for data platforms, pipelines, and ML solutions. Actively participate in recruiting processes for technical data roles and in presales proposals for advanced analytics, AI, and data governance projects. Research and evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies (LLMs, AutoML, MLOps) and their application in real business use cases. Act as a reference in Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and responsible data strategy initiatives. Promote a data-driven culture, fostering open data, data literacy, and the ethical adoption of AI.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or data architecture. Proven experience in large-scale data projects, ML model development, and production deployment. Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, MLFlow, TensorFlow, LangChain, or similar. Experience with cloud architectures and services (AWS, GCP, Azure) in data environments. Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization. Experience designing and auditing scalable data architectures. Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and AI ethics frameworks (GDPR, AI Act, fairness, explainability). Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written). Nice to have: Experience with Terraform and scalable API development. Involvement in innovation and R&D projects in AI/ML. DevOps culture and familiarity with CI/CD and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
