Doctoral Researcher in AI-assisted Product Development

Aalto University is seeking a Doctoral Researcher in AI-assisted Product Development to work on a project enhancing user-centered design for novel product development and sustainability. The researcher will have the opportunity to apply machine learning knowledge to shift the performance frontier of novel product design and development. Requirements

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, computer science, statistics, or a relevant field
• Excellent written and fluent verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in computer-aided design, finite element analysis, generative design, artificial intelligence/machine learning, additive manufacturing technologies, Python, statistics, user-centered product development, or a relevant area
• Ability to work full-time and fulfill the formal eligibility and admission criteria for Aalto’s Doctoral Programme in Engineering Benefits
• Starting salary of about €2700/month (gross)
