The Director of AI Enablement role is part of the Advanced Technology team in the Digital eXperience Group (*/dxg), which co-creates state-of-the-art products and solutions with Wolters Kluwer businesses around the globe. Our growing array of solutions supports the expanding set of Wolters Kluwer’s Expert Solutions and online product portfolios. Within */dxg, the Advanced Technology (AT) Group serves as WK’s AI and machine learning (ML) center of excellence, integrating AI/ML into products across divisions. While focusing on large language models (LLMs), AT also applies classical ML techniques to enhance product capabilities. This role supports our Legal & Regulatory division, which enables legal and compliance professionals to improve productivity and performance, mitigate risk, and solve complex problems with confidence. Our legal information solutions enable law firms, corporate legal departments, universities, and governments to streamline legal research, analyses, and workflows. This enhances legal and regulatory decision-making and outcomes, ensuring more transparent, just, and safe societies. Legal & Regulatory’s Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) solutions support corporate legal operations in increasing efficiency and saving costs. Overview We are seeking a passionate and execution-focused Director of AI Enablement to drive the adoption and integration of AI across the Legal & Regulatory division in WK. This role will play a critical part in transforming business unit roadmaps to embrace an AI-first mindset, accelerating the development of intelligent products and workflow solutions. The ideal candidate combines the ability to work with business and product leaders to drive deep collaborations with engineering, the UX and AI Centers of Excellence to deliver both enhancements to existing products and new AI-first offerings. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving early-stage AI innovation, leading cross-functional engagements, and influencing how our division capitalizes on our enterprise AI platform. Position Responsibilities AI Evangelism & Strategy Champion the adoption of AI technologies and the enterprise AI Platform across business units. Shape and communicate opportunities for AI-first products aligned to business and customer outcomes. Influence executive stakeholders to shift product and investment strategies toward AI-first initiatives. Roadmap Development & Execution Define and deliver divisional AI-enabled product roadmaps, integrating AI into existing products and identifying opportunities for AI-first workflow solutions. Prioritize initiatives with clear ROI potential, aligned with corporate and division strategic priorities. Work to secure the funding to execute roadmaps and innovation pilots. Pilot & Proof of Concept (POC) Stewardship Partner with AI CoE engineers and AI specialists to scope, build, and iterate on high-impact pilots and POCs. Support the transition from POC to pilot to scaled deployment, ensuring measurable business value. Cross-functional Collaboration Be a point of contact for product management, engineering, UX, and domain SMEs to bring AI-powered products to life. Support change management efforts to enable AI competency across teams. Platform and Reusability Advocacy Ensure AI use cases leverage and inform the development of reusable components on the company’s AI Platform. Provide feedback to the AI Platform team to evolve capabilities that unlock more use cases. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science, or related technical/business field 10+ years of experience in product, innovation, or digital transformation roles, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML. Proven success driving digital or AI strategy in a large-scale enterprise or complex matrixed environment. Deep understanding of AI concepts, including LLMs, machine learning, intelligent workflows, and emerging AI trends. Strong track record of delivering high-impact innovation projects from concept through execution. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially with senior executives and cross-functional teams. Experience working with AI platform teams, AI/ML engineers, and data scientists to deliver POCs and pilots. Ability to connect AI capabilities to concrete business outcomes and workflow transformation. Preferred Qualifications Background in industries with complex workflows (e.g., legal, healthcare, financial services, compliance). Experience leading transformation in collaboration with centralized AI or innovation teams. Familiarity with GenAI, agentic systems, and tools for AI-enabled product development. MBA, MS in Engineering/Computer Science, or related technical/business field. Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
