Customer Support for a growing AI Company
We Need Someone Who Actually Gives a Damn About Customers!!
TL;DR: We’re looking for someone to join our 3-person support team at Poppy AI. This isn’t your typical “escalate everything” customer support job - you’ll actually solve problems and own the entire customer experience.
Most customer support sucks because people just want to close tickets fast and move on. We’re different. We actually want our customers to succeed with Poppy, and we need someone who gets that.
You’ll be talking to about 30 customers a day, but here’s the thing - some conversations are 2 minutes, others are deep dives where you’re literally teaching someone how to transform their business. The variety is insane.
Who We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
You don’t take shortcuts (seriously, we can tell)
You’re willing to learn technical stuff
You have that teaching mindset - like you actually want people to succeed
You’re not just looking for a paycheck
Bonus points if:
You would say that you are good at teaching people things
You understand basic tech concepts
You have that entrepreneurial itch

You make real money impact. We track refunds you save, upgrades you create, new customers you bring in
No corporate BS. Our tone with customers is super casual, like you’re helping a friend
You can literally refund jerks. If someone’s being completely rude and ruining the vibe, just refund them.

The Honest Truth About Hours
We need someone during EST business hours, Mon - Fri
We’ll start with a 3-5 day trial (not paid)- no pressure, just see if this clicks for both of us.

Customers actually thank you for helping them
You start recognizing patterns in what people struggle with
You’re proactively finding ways to make the customer experience better
You’re teaching people, not just solving tickets
You’re contributing ideas that make the whole team better
