We are seeking a strategic, technically-savvy, and execution-focused AI Transformation Lead to spearhead the rollout of AI tools and systems across our organisation. This is a unique opportunity to shape how artificial intelligence is embedded into the fabric of a fast-growing international company.

Role Overview

As the AI Transformation Lead, you will sit at the intersection of AI, operations, and business strategy. Your role will be to identify, implement, and scale AI-powered solutions across departments—including sales, finance, HR, marketing, product design, and customer service.

You’ll act as the bridge between technical capability and commercial need, working closely with senior leadership and departmental heads to deliver tangible improvements in efficiency, automation, decision-making, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a company-wide AI strategy aligned with NLight’s business goals.

• Pilot, test, and roll out AI solutions across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Support, and Product Design.

• Work with tools such as OpenAI, LangChain, Zapier, Salesforce, Copilot, and others.

• Train internal teams and ensure high adoption and understanding of new tools.

• Review data processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend AI-enabled improvements.

• Manage vendor relationships for AI tools and implementations.

• Ensure all AI applications meet data compliance, security, and ethical use standards.

• Report regularly to executive leadership on outcomes, timelines, and next steps.

Skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI/ML implementation, automation consulting, or digital transformation.

• Proven success deploying AI applications in business contexts.

• Strong understanding of business processes across Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations.

• Technical knowledge of prompt engineering, API integration, and machine learning tools.

• Excellent communication and project management skills.

• Commercially aware, outcome-driven, and proactive.

• Bonus: Experience in manufacturing, agri-tech, or energy sectors.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Xero, Simpro, HubSpot, Power BI, or CAD platforms.
