Ngā Kōrero mo tēnei tūranga / About the role

Join our Digital, Data & Technology (DDT) team as an AI Solutions Architect at Manager level. You’ll shape practical, secure and scalable AI-enabled solutions and guide delivery teams to successful outcomes across sectors, with a strong focus on New Zealand’s public sector. Lead solution and process architecture for AI-enabled and automation outcomes, with a focus on clear delivery.

• Design agentic patterns and orchestration; produce solution architecture and business documentation.
• Own the technical delivery stream, including integration patterns and non-functional requirements (security, privacy, logging).
• Coach on-shore juniors and guide offshore/SDC teams to deliver to time, quality and budget.
• Support pre-sales activity: shape proposals, estimate scope, and run demos/POCs.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

• 5-7 years proven experience in consulting and solution architecture, ideally in automation and AI-enabled delivery.
• Hands-on use of AI tools and strong understanding of AI technologies (models, agents, orchestration; e.g. RAG/embeddings).
• Strength in solution documentation and report writing, including non-functional requirements for enterprise environments.
• Public sector exposure is highly preferred.
• Hands-on technical ownership of solution design and delivery — define reference architectures, integration patterns and non-functional requirements, and coach junior and offshore teams.
• Leadership in coaching and mentoring, and experience coordinating offshore delivery teams.
