Ko tō tūranga – your role

As the AI Product Engineer, your role is to see AI not just as a tool—but as a teammate. In this role, you’ll collaborate with AI to rapidly turn ideas into working products, often before others have even scheduled the meeting to discuss them. You’ll operate as a full-stack, AI-native builder, using code, automation, and intelligent agents to deliver high-impact solutions with speed and autonomy.

Whether your background is in product, engineering, UX, DevOps, data, or AI, what matters most is your ability to stretch beyond your lane and build end-to-end solutions that solve real problems.

You’ll work in close partnership with AI to explore ideas, iterate fast, and ship complete, high-leverage products—often independently. This isn’t a traditional product or engineering role. It’s a builder’s journey to becoming a Team of One, powered by AI. If you can test an idea in an afternoon, challenge assumptions, and prove what others think can’t be done—you’ll thrive here.

Ko Tō Mahi – What You’ll Do

• Ship outcomes at speed — take ideas from zero to live users fast, whether it’s a quick prototype or a production-ready feature.
• Jump between stacks with ease — start the day refining frontend UI/UX, switch to backend API builds, and end by automating a deployment pipeline.
• Prove possibilities — validate ideas with a working prototype before the meeting about whether it can be done.
• Cut bureaucracy to the bone — focus on real outcomes, not rituals or vanity metrics.
• Iterate relentlessly — ship updates weekly (or daily) based on live user feedback.
• Direct and orchestrate AI agents — not just using AI as a tool, but leading it as a delivery partner.
