Decode GR is super excited to find an AI Product Engineer to join our team. Founded in 2024, we are an early stage AI company with international ambitions. We build user-first software that leverages AI responsibly, with a relentless focus on quality and real-world value. Our lean team values fast iteration, transparency, and trust. Dikaio.ai is our flagship product—the first AI-powered Greek legal assistant. It’s built with advanced AI techniques to make understanding Greek and EU laws much easier. We empower legal professionals, accountants and organisations to search, analyse and generate insights from complex legal documents in real time. If this resonates with you, join us! We’re excited to have you onboard 🚀
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience as a data scientist or AI engineer with a track record of shipping production ML/AI products.
- Solid theoretical foundation in AI/ML — you understand how models work
- Hands-on experience with retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), agentic flows, vector databases, prompt/context engineering and LLM integration.
- Proficient in Python, with familiarity in LangChain, LangSmith, GCP/Azure (or similar), and frameworks for multimodal LLMs.
- Experience with large‑scale text processing; ability to manage and curate corpora for search and generation tasks.
- Experience setting up observability/monitoring for ML Ops systems.
- Strong product sense—you think in outcomes, love to ship quickly and iterate based on feedback.
- Comfortable working in an early‑stage, ambiguous environment; you enjoy figuring things out and automating the boring parts.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product, legal and engineering teams to define, design and deliver features powered by RAG pipelines and large language models (LLMs).
- Build and optimise retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines (including prompt engineering, evaluation and vector indexing) and agentic workflows .
- Prototype and integrate LLM‑driven features (chat interfaces, legal reasoning agents, multilingual models).
- Design and manage complex AI workflows, ensuring smooth orchestration of data ingestion, model inference and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks to monitor quality, latency and reliability of AI outputs.
Why Join Us?
- Build from scratch: Help form and strengthen our data science & AI engineering team from day one, designing the core architecture for our AI‑powered legal assistant.
- Agentic AI work: Develop smart, autonomous tools using frameworks like LangChain to improve the way professionals access and interpret law.
- Join a team of experienced software and AI engineers who share a passion for great engineering and building impactful products.
- End‑to‑end ownership: Own the full lifecycle—scope requirements, prototype, ship, monitor and iterate—so your work directly accelerates our product roadmap.
- Move fast, no red tape: Operate in a culture that trusts its builders and prioritises impact over process; you’ll shape both tech and culture.
- Immediate impact: Tackle high‑value problems such as document retrieval, summarisation and multilingual search. Your contributions will unblock teams and accelerate decision‑making.
- Modern stack with global standards: We use Next.js, React, Vercel, PostgreSQL, LangChain, LangSmith and vector databases; you’re free to choose the right tools to achieve quality.
Bonus Points
- Contribute to our Full-Stack codebase when needed (Python, Node.js, React.js , TypeScript), supporting data pipelines, APIs and user interfaces.
- Familiarity designing or working with rule-based systems, symbolic reasoning engines (e.g. Prolog, DROOLS)
- Familiarity with knowledge representation, schema design, or formal logic frameworks
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI or a related field (MSc or PhD).
- Familiarity with workflow and low code tools like n8n, Zapier
Benefits
- Remote‑first: work from anywhere in Greece with flexibility.
- Generous PTO: Recharge when needed.
- Stock options in a high‑potential AI startup.
