About the Role

We’re building an AI-powered tool that automates the extraction of architectural features — such as walls, doors, windows, and measurements — directly from multi-page construction drawings. As a Python Engineer, you’ll help develop the backend logic and integrate computer vision and OCR tools into a clean, scalable pipeline.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You’ll work directly with the founder and collaborate across a lean product team to ship real features and drive fast iteration.

OpenCV , Detectron2, Tesseract OCR

PDF parsing tools (PyMuPDF, pdf2image)

Azure Blob Storage , Azure App Service

Docker, GitHub Actions, PostgreSQL (light use)

Responsibilities

Build and maintain FastAPI endpoints for file upload and analysis

Integrate OCR and vision models to extract structured data from architectural drawings

Handle PDF-to-image processing and layout parsing

Write clean, testable Python code and reusable utilities

Collaborate on task design and API improvements

Assist in deploying and optimizing on Azure infrastructure

✅ Requirements

3–5 years of experience with Python and API development

Solid knowledge of OpenCV and OCR libraries like pytesseract

Experience working with PDF files , file handling, and image processing

Strong understanding of software architecture and asynchronous tasks

Fluent English (spoken and written) — clear communication is a must

Comfortable working independently with strong attention to detail

Based in Poland and eligible to work under a mandate contract (Umowa Zlecenie )

Familiarity with Detectron2 or similar instance segmentation tools

Experience with Azure services (Blob Storage, App Service, Key Vault)

Previous work in construction, architecture tech, or document automation
