AI Agent Engineer (Python)

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Engineer experienced in AI agents and cloud platforms, to join our Client team - a global leader in the area of online advertising, search engine technologies and cloud computing.

This is a 100% hands-on development role focused on building and deploying sophisticated AI agents that enable proactive network maintenance, reduce operational toil, and enhance the overall customer experience.

The ideal candidate is an expert Python developer with deep knowledge of generative AI, RAG, prompt engineering, and cloud platforms. This role emphasizes development and implementation — not architectural design. You will be responsible for translating requirements into functional, intelligent agents that automate complex network operations.

This position offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw or Gdansk office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered agents for network automation
• Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to provide agents with accurate, real-time network data and documentation
• Create, test, and refine advanced prompts to ensure agents perform reliably, accurately, and safely
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code for agent logic and integrations
• Deploy, manage, and monitor AI applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Collaborate closely with network engineers to define automation requirements, data sources, and success criteria
• Drive development in three core areas
• Proactive Maintenance: Build agents that predict and prevent network issues
• Toil Reduction: Automate repetitive, manual tasks performed by network operations
• Customer Experience: Create tools that accelerate diagnostics and resolution for customer-facing issues
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality

REQUIREMENTS

• Expert-level Python proficiency
• 1+ year of hands-on experience developing AI agents, conversational AI, or autonomous systems
• Strong practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially AI, data, and deployment services (e.g., Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Spanner)
• Proven ability to build and fine-tune RAG systems
• Advanced skills in prompt engineering, with a track record of creating effective, reliable prompts
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration in a distributed, technical team
• A strong problem-solving mindset with a “builder” mentality and ownership of development tasks

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in the telecommunications or network operations domain
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM frameworks such as Gemini ADK, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on GCP
• Experience working with vector databases
